These camps are for Children’s House 5 & 6 year olds that are Rising Extended Day and/or Rising 1st year LE students.
Early Bird (8am – 9am) – $25 After Camp Cool Down (4pm – 5:30pm) – $50
Week 1: June 11th – 15th
MSR Space Camp (9am – 1pm)
Train to become an astronaut. Build a rocket ship. Make a planet mobile. Construct a constellation diorama.

Jumpin’ Gymnastics (1pm – 4pm)
Join Ms. Janie Jackson, the Jumpin’ Gymnast, and get ready to roll. This camp will include basic tumbling skills, stretching, running obstacle courses, playing cooperative games and lots of fun moving your body!

Week 2: June 18th – 22nd
Bugs, Bugs, Bugs (9am – 1pm)
If critters with six legs seem interesting to you, then come along and explore the fascinating world of the greatest population on the planet… BUGS. Come dressed to explore. Learn about bugs through crafts, books, and exploration.

Kids Just Wanna Have Fun, Jr. (All Day, 9am – 4pm)
Hop on the bus each morning and you will find yourself having fun. From bowling to going to the movies, there will be loads of fun. Activity fees are included with tuition, but campers will need to bring spending money each day.

Week 3: June 25th – 29th
Children Around the World (9am – 1pm)
Travel around the world and visit a different country every day. You will learn about the culture of each country through crafts, food, stories and songs.

If You Give a Cook a Book (1pm – 4pm)
This camp will enjoy reading some new and some classic books about cooking or food and then learn how to cook something from those books. Books might include titles like If You Give a Mouse a Cookie or Green Eggs and Ham.

Jumpin’ Gymnastics (1pm – 4pm)

Week 4: July 9th – 13th
Kids in the Kitchen (9am – 1pm)
Campers will have fun learning how to make breakfast, lunch and dinner in this hands-on camp.

3D Art-O-Rama! (1pm – 4pm)
Enter the third dimension of the Art world with this exploration into 3D art. Campers will learn how to make their art jump off the page and into the third dimension. Learn different mediums and create your own projects.

Week 5: July 16th – 20th
Yoga, Movement and Music (9am – 1pm)
Children will learn to interpret music using their own body through a variety of listening, movement and singing activities. Children will be introduced to several genres of music and some basic yoga poses in order to help them express themselves. This SummerScape favorite will fill up fast, so sign up early.

Super Hero Camp (9am – 1pm)
Children will create a super hero identity, including a costume, a name and various powers. At the end of the week, campers will put their powers to the test in a huge scavenger hunt. Perfect for ALL girls and boys who ever dreamed of having super powers.

I Want to be a Star! Drama Camp (1pm – 4pm)
During the week, the kids will make sets, props and costumes for a play to be performed at the end of the week for parents!

Week 6: July 23rd – 27th
MSR Safari (9am – 1pm)
Grab your pith helmet and get ready to go on an adventure! You will explore the outdoors while learning about exotic animals from both near and far.

Yoga Fun! (1pm – 4pm)
Children will learn some basic yoga poses while gaining strength and coordination. Students will also enjoy music, crafts and snacks all with yoga and body awareness in mind.

Week 7: July 30th – August 3rd
LE Transition Camp (9am – 1pm)
This camp is great for all RISING 1st YEARS. Give your child the gift of getting acquainted with the Montessori elementary classroom, materials and routine, before starting in the Fall.

Jam Between the Pages (9am – 1pm)
This camp combines the wonderful world of literature with the art of cooking. Kids will explore some incredible books followed by a hands-on cooking lesson while getting a little lesson in grace and courtesy. Aprons and recipes provided.

Kids will practice drawing, painting, mosaic and collage just to name a few!
