Your application to MSR is designed to be a process of mutual discovery:
We want you to learn what sets our program apart and we want to know about you! Each year, MSR welcomes families from a broad range of socioeconomic, religious, cultural, and racial backgrounds, and we attempt to maintain an even distribution of ages and genders in each class.
Ready to take the next step?
1.Attend an Information Session or Personal Tour
This is an excellent opportunity for parents to get a feel for the culture of our school and to see what happens in the classroom. You will have the opportunity to meet Curriculum Directors, current parents and administrators. Most importantly you will see the interaction between students and directors.
2.Complete your Application
If you have a sense that MSR is the right school for your child and family, the next step is to complete an application. Applications are considered complete when the Admissions Office has received the application and fee along with all of the appropriate forms.
3.Attend your Student & Parent Visit
This visit gives us an opportunity to get to know you and your child(ren) one-on-one. You will connect with the admissions director, tour/re-tour our campus, observe the school day in action, and have an opportunity to ask questions specific to your child and the MSR experience.
- If you’re applying to Toddler or Children’s House, you will bring your child for an individual meeting with an MSR faculty member.
- If you’re applying to Elementary, Middle, or Upper School, we will schedule a 30-minute student meeting for your student with an MSR faculty member while parents meet with another. Your student will also be invited to spend a half/full day in the MSR classroom(s).

NOW ACCEPTING Applications for 2016-2017 School Year
The Montessori School of Raleigh is a member of the Triangle Consortium of Schools whose members recognize that the individual timetables for the admissions process are as unique as the schools themselves. They want to assure you that they are willing to accommodate the needs of families who have applied to more than one of the schools.
At all other times, admissions are done on a “rolling” basis: that is, children are both considered and accepted as and when spaces become available, except for the elementary and middle school.
