MPSA

The Montessori Parent Staff Association supports the parents, teachers, staff, and administration of The Montessori School of Raleigh, provides a framework through which parent volunteer efforts can be organized and coordinated, and builds to strengthen the community and school family.

MPSA Goals for 2011-2012 school year
1. To have an encouraging and unifying presence at MSR by enhancing and streamlining communication among our families, administration, and teachers;
2. To be accessible as we encourage and support parent and staff volunteers in a positive and inclusive way;
3. To successfully carry out several school-wide events that celebrate staff, students and families.

Tell me more about MPSA
MPSA’s major sources of revenue for the year include your children’s photographs (which were taken last week, and yes there will be make-ups) and plant sales the day before and during Garden Day (Wednesday 10/19 and Thursday 10/20). For the plant sale this year we will be selling flats of icicle pansies, large jewel-tone mums (suitable for planters on the porch), flowering kale and carving pumpkins! There will also be mini pumpkins for sale for the kids! Art supplies will be available for the kids to use to decorate their mini pumpkins as well. The funds generated from these efforts pay for the Fall Festival and the Staff Appreciation Luncheon in the spring. All purchases are greatly appreciated and benefit our wonderful community!
