Most any space on our campus is used for both formal and impromptu performances by our students.
Most recently, The Montessori School of Raleigh has built a brand new performance space where all major concerts occur. In 2014, the Great Room was retrofitted with a stage, to provide a better acoustic experience for our students. In the following years to come, this space will be permanently transformed into a concert hall, complete with a state of the art sound and lighting system, designed to be controlled by our very own students at concerts and productions.
Situated next to the Great Room is a fully equipped music studio, with a multitude of musical instruments, electronic keyboards, and books on the history of music. This space is used primarily by our Elementary children for music class.
On our Middle School campus, rehearsals take place in the refectory, a comfortable and acoustically pleasing space to create music. This multipurpose space is one of our student’s favorite spaces on campus.
All Children’s House music lessons are taught in their classroom environments, providing a safe and comfortable space for our younger children to create music.
In addition to our facilities, our computer lab contains the latest software for music composition and production, which are available at any time for student use.
