Director of Auxiliary Programs

The Montessori School of Raleigh is seeking a creative, organized, and energetic individual to expand auxiliary programming at the school and to manage the daily operations of the  auxiliary programs now in place. The school’s auxiliary programs include after school care (Encore), after school clubs (Studios), all-day care (for inservice and conference days), and a summer camp program (SummerScape).  Auxiliary programs reflect the school’s expertise in educating children 18 months to 18 years and reflect the school’s commitment to excellence in the delivery of all programs. 


  • Increase the number of auxiliary offerings available during the academic year and double the size of the summer program
  • Design content and curricula as needed for all auxiliary programs
  • Recruit, hire, and oversee faculty and staff for auxiliary programs
  • Handle staff and faculty scheduling and payroll
  • Manage all facilities and transportation logistics
  • Manage all programs when they are in session
  • Ensure the safety and security of students and staff and respond appropriately to emergency situations
  • Oversee and manage enrollment in auxiliary programs
  • Communicate with parents and auxiliary program faculty and staff prior to, during, and after programs 
  • Market and promote auxiliary offerings
  • Purchase supplies and materials for all programs 
  • Develop and maintain annual budget
  • Track and report attendance 
  • Collaborate with school faculty, staff and administration to ensure the success of programs


  • Successful work experience with children ages 18 months through 18 years
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Competency in planning, logistics and scheduling
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Decisive under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance background a plus 
  • CPR and First Aid training or willingness to be trained
  • Database and web application experience necessary
