Garden Day 2012: MSR Community Springs into Action

Spring Garden Day 2012 was a blooming success! Garden Day is when The Montessori School of Raleigh’s community comes together to celebrate our earth and our beautiful campus by tending to the gardens and grounds of the school. Students, faculty, parents and staff all join in to lend a hand to the land and do some spring cleaning (a.k.a. weeding). Mulch is delivered in big piles, rakes and shovels are brought out of winter storage and wheelbarrows wobble and weave all over campus. Fresh fruit snacks are served and little hands get plenty dirty digging in the dirt. With a little sunshine, water and love, the MSR gardens and community are soon growing! Thanks for your support!

Garden Day is a blast. Can you dig it?
Happy to help!
Orange you glad to see me?
Growing community one little flower at a time.
Flowers in the ground, flowers in my hair.
A refreshing drink of water makes the plants smile.
Put your back into it! Mulch, mulch, mulch!
Beauty abounds from the earth to the heavens.
