Studio Descriptions

Music Studios:

ALL Music studios are a year long commitment, no students will be able to enroll in a music studio halfway through the school year. If students wish to discontinue the studio, the teacher and studio director must be contacted.

Piano I Studio is available for 1st-5th graders with no previous experience, or for students who enrolled late in piano studios from the previous year. There are 9 slots available. This class is designed to expose students to the early concepts of playing the piano. The students will learn about proper posture, correct hand positions, early music theory such as reading music for both hands and simple rhythm identification.
*At the end of the year, there is a Spring Recital, which gives an opportunity for all the students to perform in front their friends and family. This is a low stress event. My goal is for each student to have a positive performing experience while getting to showcase all that they have learned throughout the year!

Technology Studios with CAML
At CAML Academy, we believe that the STEM subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math open more doors to student success than any other educational pursuit. Consistent exposure to digital tools and languages is inevitable in our modern world. Embracing digital technology helps create powerful foundations for learning, propelling students to new heights regardless of whether they want to pursue careers in computers or they want to be well-rounded citizen in the 21st century.
At CAML, we design our programs to be fun, playful, and project-driven to address children’s natural curiosity. We believe children learn best when they are actively working on meaningful projects, generating new ideas, designing prototypes and constantly refining through an iterative process. Research shows that project-based learning helps students perform well on school tests, improves problem-solving and collaboration skills, and improves attitudes towards learning.

Mobile App and Game Design is an introductory computer programming course for students to learn the basics of coding with Blockly through app and game design. Students will learn how to design their own games and apps, and strengthen their knowledge of core computer science concepts such as variables, loops, and conditionals.
